Biography
David was born in 1928.
He was the son of James Mitchell and Mona Bower.
He was educated at Aldenham School, Hertfordshire, before becoming a wine shipper and merchant.
Sir David Bower Mitchell was a British Conservative politician who was a Member of Parliament for over 30 years, and who served as a junior minister in Margaret Thatcher's government.
David went on to become a politician who was a member of Parliament for over 30 years, and who served as a junior minister in Margaret Thatcher's government.
He published an autobiography entitled "From House to House, The Endless Adventures of Politics & Wine" with The Memoir Club.
He passed away in 2014 at the age of 86.
